Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with Principals and vessel reps on crew deployment, changes, and compliance matters.
- Conduct pre-departure briefings and ensure all crew are informed and prepared.
- Arrange flight bookings and manage travel schedules with agencies or Principals.
- Supervise Documentation Assistant, ensuring timely and accurate processing of crew documents.
- Monitor crew medical fitness and ensure compliance with health requirements before embarkation.
- Screen and evaluate applicants from the Recruitment Department for suitability and qualifications.
- Process crew documentation including Flag State, Visa, PDOS, MARINA, and medical endorsements.
- Prepare and manage contracts, deployment kits, and accreditation records for crew and vessels.
- Maintain crewing system records and submit OWMS reports and updates to supervisors.
- Coordinate with agents for “OK to Board” clearance and support other crewing tasks as needed.
Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in maritime or business-related
- At least 1–2 years of experience in the manning/shipping industry as a Crewing Officer, or in processing seafarers’ pre-deployment documents
- Proficient in Google applications (Sheets, Docs, Gmail)
- Strong coordination skills
